Charges Looming: Multiple People Suspected in Matthew Perry’s Ketamine-Related Death Investigation

Los Angeles, California – Authorities are close to concluding the criminal investigation into the death of actor Matthew Perry, a star from the popular television show “Friends.” Reports indicate that multiple individuals might be implicated in the investigation.

Law enforcement sources, speaking on the condition of anonymity, revealed that a federal probe is underway to determine who supplied Perry with ketamine before his passing. The U.S. Attorney’s Office will determine whether charges will be filed, as reported by PEOPLE magazine, NBC News, and ABC News.

Perry was found unresponsive at his home in Pacific Palisades on October 28, 2023. The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner later revealed that he died from the “acute effects of ketamine.”

Subsequent investigations have focused on how Perry obtained and consumed a significant amount of ketamine. The Los Angeles Police Department, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the U.S. Postal Inspector are working to identify those involved in providing Perry with the substance.

Ketamine, a dissociative anesthetic with hallucinogenic effects, is commonly associated with youth culture and is popular at raves and EDM concerts. The autopsy report listed drowning, coronary artery disease, and buprenorphine effects as contributing factors to Perry’s death.

Perry’s battle with drug and alcohol addiction was well-documented throughout his life. Following his death, loved ones launched the Matthew Perry Foundation, dedicated to helping individuals struggling with addiction.

The foundation’s mission is to honor Perry’s legacy by assisting those affected by addiction, inspired by his commitment to making a difference in as many lives as possible.

The manner of Perry’s death was ruled accidental, with no signs of foul play suspected. The investigation continues as authorities work to bring closure to the case.
