LOUISVILLE, Ky. – A tragic incident unfolded in West Louisville early Saturday morning, where eight individuals were shot at Club H2O. The club has since temporarily closed as authorities conduct an investigation into the violent episode.
The Louisville Metro Alcoholic Beverage Control confirmed that the owner of Club H2O agreed to shutter the establishment voluntarily while the investigation progresses. The shooting occurred around 12:47 a.m., resulting in the death of one person, while another was rushed to the hospital in critical condition due to multiple gunshot wounds. Additionally, six individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the shooting.
According to a statement released by the Louisville Metro ABC, the decision to close Club H2O temporarily was made in the interest of public safety and to allow time for mourning following the tragic loss of an employee.
