Originally from Honduras, Suazo-Sandoval had immigrated to the United States over 17 years ago, with dreams of starting a small business. Described as bringing joy and humor to his family, he was one of the six construction workers who lost their lives when a cargo ship crashed into the Baltimore bridge on March 26.
The bodies of two workers, Alejandro Hernandez Fuentes and Dorlian Ronial Castillo Cabrera, were recovered a day after the collapse. They were found trapped in a submerged red pickup truck near the middle span of the bridge. Three workers, including Miguel Luna from El Salvador, a worker from Guatemala, and another from Mexico, are still missing and presumed dead.
Maryland authorities have deployed recovery teams to locate the missing workers, with Colonel Roland L. Butler Jr. expressing their commitment to finding closure for the families affected by the tragedy. Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott acknowledges the emotional toll on the families and continues to support them through this difficult time.
