The report not only delves into the studio’s financial status but also provides insights into the development progress of highly anticipated games such as Control 2, Max Payne 1&2 Remake, Codename Condor, and more.

In the business review document, it was revealed that the team behind Control 2 is currently focused on finalizing the proof-of-concept stage, where crucial aspects like the game world, mechanics, and visual targets are being solidified. The next phase of production readiness for Control 2 is expected to commence in the second quarter of the year.

Meanwhile, the Max Payne 1&2 Remake, a project that aims to combine the two iconic games into a single revamped version, is also progressing towards the production readiness stage. The game, first announced in 2022, is slated to enter full production by Q2 2024 as per the studio’s plans.

On the multiplayer front, Codename Condor has already entered full production. Described by Remedy as an engaging experience that brings a unique twist to the genre, this multiplayer spin-off is generating excitement among fans. Codename Kestral, another multiplayer title in the works, is currently in the concept stage, showcasing the studio’s commitment to delivering diverse gaming experiences.

In addition to updates on ongoing projects, Remedy also shared positive news regarding Alan Wake 2, which has sold 1.3 million units as of early February. The success of the game has allowed the studio to recoup a significant portion of its development and marketing investments. As the team continues to expand the Alan Wake universe with upcoming expansions like Night Springs and Lake House, anticipation for the future of the franchise is high.

Following the acquisition of the rights to Control from publisher 505 Games in February, Remedy now has full creative control over the IP. The studio’s proactive approach towards evolving business models reflects its dedication to innovation in the gaming industry.
