Couple busted for pushing baby in stroller full of drugs and maggots

MADISONVILLE, KY – On May 24, two individuals were taken into custody by the local police when found to have been carrying drugs and a baby in a stroller infested with live maggots. The couple, Thomas Parker, 30, and Tiffany McCord, 34, were reportedly under the influence while guiding the baby stroller through the streets of Madisonville, Kentucky.

The couple was found heading toward an abandoned building. Parker, confirmed as the child’s father, fled when approached by the police. McCord remained on the scene and was inspected by the officers. Along with the finding of drugs and related paraphernalia in the stroller, prescribed medications for the baby were also discovered.

Medics were called to the scene due to the unidentified condition of the child. Only then was it found that the baby had been seated in a mass of writhing maggots. Despite this discovery, McCord claimed that only the baby’s diaper bag- found to contain an ashtray, lighter, and small plastic bag- belonged to her.

Parker was apprehended and arrested the following day. He verified that he was the baby’s father and that he and McCord were responsible for its care. However, he disregarded responsibility for the drugs. According to Parker, he had received a request to clean the stroller, but had only managed to wipe down part of it.

Upon apprehension, Parker was charged with wanton endangerment and placed in the Hopkins County Jail, as per online records. McCord faced a number of charges, including drug trafficking, possession of drug paraphernalia, and wanton endangerment.
