Reports indicate that the chase commenced around 5:30 p.m. on Friday, where a gold Kia Soul with multiple occupants was spotted traveling southbound on the 110 Freeway.

The alleged stolen vehicle was reportedly involved in a collision while on the freeway, resulting in extensive damage to the front end.

Authorities from the California Highway Patrol began tracking the suspect, opting not to initiate a ground pursuit but instead utilizing air patrol to monitor the vehicle.

The pursuit ventured into the South Los Angeles area, where the driver engaged in risky maneuvers, such as driving on the wrong side of the road and narrowly avoiding multiple collisions.

Throughout the chase, the suspect disregarded several red lights and executed perilous maneuvers in an attempt to evade law enforcement.

At one point, the driver dangerously approached several vehicles near the intersection of West Adams Boulevard and Gramercy Place.

As the pursuit progressed into the USC area, the presence of pedestrians heightened the risk of the suspect’s actions.

Following a return to the 110 Freeway heading south, officers initiated a ground pursuit leading to the suspect pulling over under an overpass on the freeway and surrendering to LAPD officers.
