Dead woman found outside of elementary school

WEST RICHLAND, WA – A woman was found dead from gunshot wounds at Wiley Elementary School in West Richland, Washington. The anomaly occurred on a Monday afternoon, leading to the mobilization of the West Richland Police Department (WRPD).

The responders reported finding the woman outside the school complex at approximately 3:23 p.m. and clarified that no other casualties resulted from the incident.

The alleged perpetrator, 40-year-old Elias Huizar, was preliminarily identified by the police. Huizar, standing approximately 5’6″ tall and weighing around 170 pounds, was suspected to have fled the scene in a 2009 silver Toyota Corolla with the license plate number CBZ4745.

The situation took an unexpected turn on Monday evening as a second crime scene was discovered when a search warrant was served at Huizar’s residence. Another homicide victim was found there, but no identity has been disclosed yet. However, it was stated by the officials that the victim was acquainted with Huizar.

Given the circumstances, Investigators have dubbed Huizar armed and potentially dangerous, warning that he may commit further crimes. Concurrently, no specific detail leading up to the shooting has been revealed.

On Monday evening, a spokesperson from the WRPD assured the media that further updates will be provided on Tuesday at 6 a.m.
