Paris, France – French actor Gérard Depardieu is facing another allegation of sexual assault as a set designer has filed a legal complaint against him. This accusation marks the second incident during the shooting of the 2022 film Les Volets Verts in Paris, where Depardieu stars alongside Anouk Grinberg and Fanny Ardant.
The lawyer for the complainant, identified as Amélie, stated that Depardieu sexually harassed and assaulted her on the film set in 2021. The incident involved the actor making offensive remarks to Amélie before aggressively pinning her between his thighs and touching her inappropriately.
Despite initially refraining from pressing charges to avoid disrupting the film production, the trauma persisted for Amélie. The resurgence of the incident prompted her to file a legal complaint, accusing Depardieu of sexual assault, sexist insult, and harassment. The Paris public prosecutor’s office will review the complaint to determine the appropriate legal action.
This is not the first time Depardieu faces accusations of sexual misconduct. In 2020, he was put under investigation for the alleged rape and sexual assault of actor Charlotte Arnould. Despite claiming the encounters were consensual, the court found sufficient evidence to charge Depardieu.
