**Detroit Lions** new uniforms leak online before official release – Check out the leaked designs!

Detroit, Michigan – The Detroit Lions’ highly anticipated new uniforms were set to debut Thursday evening, but ended up hitting the internet earlier in the day, dampening the excitement surrounding the reveal. The three new uniforms for the Lions feature their iconic Honolulu Blue, white, and a black alternate jersey with blue lettering.

Fans got an unexpected sneak peek at the new uniforms online, showcasing a fresh look for the upcoming season. In addition to the jerseys, the Lions will also have various pant options to pair with their new attire, adding versatility to their game day wardrobe.

The team’s decision to revamp their uniforms comes after a previous introduction of a black alternate uniform back in 2005, last seen in action on the field in 2007. Despite the premature leak, the Lions were prepared and responded with a video featuring defensive tackle Alim McNeill in the new Honolulu Blue and silver jersey.

Quarterback Jared Goff joined in on the fun, joking about being the culprit behind the leak of the black jersey on Twitter. The team teased the official unveiling of the new uniforms, leaving fans eagerly awaiting the big reveal.

Notably, the Lions underwent a uniform update in 2017, which included removing black piping and introducing a steel gray “Color Rush” alternate. The new 2024 uniforms will feature a Nike logo on the sleeve instead of the “WCF” patch that honored former owner William Clay Ford, who passed away in 2014. Team president Rod Wood assured fans that Ford’s legacy will be honored in a different manner moving forward.

Sheila Ford Hamp took over as the principal owner of the Lions from her mother, Martha, in 2020, ushering in a new era for the franchise. The anticipation for the Lions’ new look continues to build as fans eagerly await the official unveiling of the 2024 uniforms.
