Divorce “Shocking Split: Billy Ray Cyrus Files for Divorce from Firerose After Less Than a Year of Marriage”

Nashville, Tennessee – Country music star Billy Ray Cyrus has filed for divorce from his wife, singer Firerose, after just seven months of marriage. The 62-year-old singer quietly submitted the paperwork in late May, citing irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct as the reasons for the split. Additionally, he is seeking an annulment based on grounds of fraud.

The Australian musician, who still goes by Firerose Cyrus on Instagram, had posted pictures with Cyrus as recently as late April. Despite celebrating their six-month wedding anniversary a month before the filing, the couple have since unfollowed each other on social media.

The couple had tied the knot in October 2023, one year after getting engaged. Although the exact beginning of their relationship remains unclear, they had collaborated on a song called “New Day” in 2021.

This marked Cyrus’ third marriage, with his previous marriages to Cindy Smith from 1986 to 1991 and Tish Cyrus in 1993. His marriage to Tish ended in divorce in April 2022, after over three decades together. Tish subsequently married actor Dominic Purcell in August 2023.

Their union was reportedly contentious within the family, with some of Cyrus’ children not approving of the marriage. Cyrus and Tish share three children together – Miley, Braison, and Noah, with Cyrus also adopting Tish’s two children, Brandi and Trace, from her previous marriage.

Representatives for Cyrus did not immediately respond to requests for comment. The split with Firerose adds another chapter to the country crooner’s marital history, showcasing a pattern of ups and downs in his relationships.
