Double-homicide investigation underway after two people found dead

MANCHESTER, OH – A double homicide in Adams County has sparked an investigation after two individuals were found dead on Thursday afternoon. The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) has since been summoned to delve into the details of the crime.

The fatal incident occurred in the vicinity of Sixth Street in Manchester, Ohio. The Adams County Sheriff’s Office sought the expertise of the BCI Crime Scene Unit and Special Investigations Unit to aid in the investigation of the double homicide.

The specifics leading to the tragic event remain unclear at this stage. The Sheriff’s Office has reported a third individual in severe condition, further complicating the case.

On Thursday evening, the Adams County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the apprehension of a suspect outside of Adams County. The suspect’s identity remains undisclosed.

Earlier in the day, various agencies, including the Maysville Police Department and Mason County Sheriff’s Office, were engaged in the manhunt for the suspect. The identities of the deceased have yet to be revealed.

In light of the incident, all after-school sporting activities in Manchester were called off on Thursday. The Ohio Valley School District principal cited the shooting as the cause for the cancellation.
