Drake Bell Reveals Shocking Allegations of Abuse in New Docuseries Exposé

Los Angeles, CA – Former Nickelodeon star Drake Bell is set to reveal his story of alleged abuse by his former dialogue coach, Brian Peck, in the upcoming docuseries “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV.” In a new clip released Tuesday, Bell is hinted to speak about the abuse he endured as a child actor at the hands of Peck.

The four-part series aims to investigate claims of a toxic environment on ’90s sets created by Dan Schneider, the mastermind behind Nickelodeon hits such as “The Amanda Show,” “Drake & Josh,” and “iCarly.” Schneider’s shows helped launch the careers of many young stars like Kenan Thompson, Amanda Bynes, and Victoria Justice.

In a teaser of the docuseries, an interviewee mentions Peck’s history as a sexual predator, sparking curiosity about the victims. Bell is shown preparing to share his experience with Peck, a man who was convicted in 2004 for crimes against Bell and registered as a sex offender.

“Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV” will premiere on ID network on March 17 and 18, shedding light on the abuse, sexism, and racism faced by former child stars on Nickelodeon sets.

Former “Boy Meets World” stars Danielle Fishel, Rider Strong, and Will Friedle recently spoke out about how Peck allegedly groomed them during their time on the show. Friedle expressed regret for being manipulated by Peck and turning against the victim.

Bell, known for his roles on Nickelodeon, faced legal troubles in 2021 after pleading guilty to child endangerment charges. Despite his past, Bell’s disappearance in Daytona, Florida, in 2023 made headlines before he reappeared hours later.

Directed by Mary Robertson and Emma Schwartz, “Quiet on Set” is a production by Maxine Productions and Sony Pictures Television in collaboration with Business Insider. This docuseries aims to bring to light the darker side of the entertainment industry for child actors.
