CINCINNATI, OH – A teenage boy lost his life while another sustained injuries in a drive-by shooting incident in Bond Hill, as per the Cincinnati Police Department. The incident occurred around 8:20 p.m. on Thursday on Paddock Road. Upon arrival, the police discovered two victims in a parking lot, both suffering from gunshot injuries.
The 15-year-old victim was declared dead at the scene, as confirmed by homicide investigators early Friday. The second victim was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center by the Cincinnati Fire Department. As the investigation is ongoing, the police have withheld further information about the surviving victim.
The deceased teenager is the seventh juvenile to be fatally shot in Cincinnati this year, marking an increase from four at the same time last year, as per the most recent police data. Despite the rise in juvenile gun violence, the city’s overall homicide rate has not seen a similar increase. The teenager is the 51st homicide victim this year, a decrease from 60 at this time last year.
