Drunk woman flips car in police chase, then attempts to bite officer

ARLINGTON, VA – A dramatic chain of events unfolded in Arlington, Virginia, as a woman allegedly involved in a DUI crash later bit a police officer and tried to seize his firearm.

The saga began on Thursday night when 25-year-old Malesha Bruner allegedly hit a parked vehicle on Washington Boulevard and then sped off, only to hit another vehicle. The impact of the second collision was so severe that it caused Bruner’s vehicle to flip over, according to the police.

Officers who responded to the incident detained Bruner on suspicion of drunk driving. However, while in custody, Bruner reportedly turned aggressive, biting an officer.

The drama didn’t end there. Bruner was taken to a hospital for a medical check-up where she allegedly attempted to grab an officer’s firearm, leading to her being restrained.

Bruner is now facing a host of charges including assault on police, disarming a police officer, DUI, hit and run, and driving without a license. She is currently in custody without bond.

In a fortunate turn of events, the occupants of the two vehicles Bruner is said to have hit did not report any injuries, according to the police.
