DUI Crash in Hooksett Sends Two to Hospital: Man Arrested for Driving Under the Influence

HOOKSETT, N.H. – A man was arrested for driving under the influence after causing a three-car crash in Hooksett, which resulted in two people being taken to the hospital.

The incident occurred around 7:20 p.m. on Sunday, prompting authorities to respond to the intersection of Mammoth Road and Castle Drive following reports of a collision involving three vehicles. According to the Hooksett police, a GMC pickup truck driven by a 45-year-old Hooksett resident, Brian O’Connor, was traveling north on Mammoth Road when it veered into the southbound lane, striking a Honda sedan.

Despite the initial collision, the pickup truck continued north in the southbound lane and ultimately collided head-on with a Toyota Rav4 at the intersection of Castle Drive. Both the driver and passenger of the Rav4 were later transported to the hospital to receive treatment for non-life-threatening injuries, while the occupants of the Honda escaped unharmed.

O’Connor sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was also taken to the hospital before being arrested for DUI and reckless operation. He was released on bail from the hospital and is expected to appear in court on May 16. The authorities have not disclosed the specific circumstances that led to O’Connor’s impairment while behind the wheel.
