DUI crash kills three women and sends three more to the hospital

POMONA, CA – A tragic accident in Pomona, involving an intoxicated driver, resulted in the death of three women and left three others severely injured. The fatal incident occurred late in the evening at the crossroads of White Avenue and Phillips Boulevard.

Emergency personnel who arrived at the scene reported that all victims had sustained injuries ranging from moderate to severe. The Pomona Police Department and the L.A. County Fire Department personnel worked together to provide immediate medical attention to the victims. Despite their efforts, two passengers died on the spot, while another succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. The remaining three victims are currently receiving treatment at a local hospital.

Preliminary investigations revealed that five of the six victims, all women, were in one car. The sole occupant of the other vehicle involved in the crash was identified as 36-year-old Victor Siharath from Pomona.

Upon interacting with Siharath, officers discerned signs of impairment. Video footage shows Siharath undergoing a sobriety test near the crash site. He was later taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and subsequently arrested on charges of felony driving under the influence.
