Facebook CEO Slams Apple’s Vision Pro headset in Viral Video – And You Won’t Believe What He Said!

SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA – Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently shared his opinion on Apple’s new mixed-reality headset, the Vision Pro, which was officially launched in the U.S. on February 2. In a video posted on Instagram, Zuckerberg touted Meta’s Quest 3 headset as “the better value” and “the better product, period,” in comparison to Apple’s Vision Pro.

The rivalry between Apple and Meta, formerly known as Facebook, has intensified as both companies seek to promote their respective mixed-reality headsets. While Meta has focused on offering a lower-cost alternative, Apple has emphasized higher-resolution screens, more powerful processors, and premium materials in their Vision Pro headset.

Zuckerberg spoke about the superiority of Meta’s Quest 3 headset over Apple’s Vision Pro, highlighting features such as comfort, immersive content library, wider field of view, and more accurate hand tracking. However, he acknowledged the higher resolution and impressive eye tracking of Apple’s headset.

The Meta CEO’s bold claim of Quest 3’s superiority has sparked a debate as the two tech giants compete for market dominance in the emerging mixed-reality headset category. While some may have assumed that Apple’s Vision Pro, priced at $3,500, would offer higher quality, Zuckerberg asserted that Quest 3 outperforms it in various aspects, despite the price difference.

Meta introduced its Quest 3 headset in September, and it has been available for purchase since the following month. Priced at $500, the Quest 3 features a unique “passthrough” mode that allows users to quickly see the real world outside the headset. On the other hand, Apple’s Vision Pro offers similar functionality.

Zuckerberg also expressed his confidence in Meta’s open model for its headsets, suggesting that it will ultimately prevail. As the competition between the two companies continues to escalate, it remains to be seen how consumers will ultimately respond to their respective offerings in the mixed-reality space.
