Family of 4 killed in crash on their way home from party

PLEASANTON, CA – The small community of Pleasanton in California is mourning after a devastating car accident on Wednesday led to the death of local couple Tarun and Rincy George and their two children. Although authorities have yet to officially disclose the identities of the victims, close friend and neighbor Anjali Maski confirmed their identities.

The fatal accident happened around 9 p.m., with the family returning home from a birthday party. Their vehicle struck a tree and erupted into flames. Multiple explosions followed the crash, causing alarm among local residents. Neighborhood local Larry Lai, who was outside when the car crashed, reported hearing booms happening every five to ten seconds, followed by sirens shortly thereafter.

As news of the tragic event spread, friends, neighbors, and community members paid their respects, adorning the crash site and the victims’ family home with flowers. The two boys, students at Donlon Elementary School and Hart Middle School, were remembered by friends who were struggling to cope with their sudden absence.

Grief counselors have been dispatched to the schools to offer support to students dealing with the shocking event. Meanwhile, members of the community are planning a vigil for the family, scheduled for Sunday afternoon at ValVista Park.

As the investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing, authorities have yet to rule out excessive speed as a contributing factor.
