Fatal shooting at Louisiana high school football game

A high school football game in Port Allen, Louisiana, turned into a scene of horror on Friday night when gunfire erupted during halftime, leaving a teenager dead and a man injured. The incident took place at Port Allen High School, in proximity to Baton Rouge, and resulted in the death of a 15-year-old boy. A 28-year-old man also sustained injuries, the specifics of which have not been disclosed, as per local law enforcement.

Sgt. Landon Groger of the West Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office provided details of the incident. Emergency services, including a medical helicopter and an ambulance, were promptly dispatched to the scene to transport the victims to medical facilities.

No suspects were apprehended immediately following the shooting, Sgt. Groger confirmed. The shooting occurred amidst a football match between Port Allen High School and Brusly High School, leading to the abrupt cancellation of the game.
