Film Festival Winners Revealed: Berlinale Spotlights Mati Diop’s “Dahomey” and Martin Scorsese’s Honorary Golden Bear Acceptance

Berlin, Germany – The 74th Berlin Film Festival is coming to an end tonight in the German capital, with the announcement of competition winners. This year’s Berlinale, led by Carlo Chatrian and Mariette Rissenbeek for the final time, has been relatively uneventful, with the focus primarily on the films. Among the favorites were Mati Diop’s latest feature “Dahomey” and Victor Kossakovsky’s “Architection,” both receiving high praise from audiences and critics alike.

The Panorama and Forum Juries also awarded films such as “Sex” from Norway and “Shahid” from Germany with the CICAE Arthouse Cinema Award. Overall, the festival showcased a diverse range of films from around the world, attracting both critical acclaim and audience appreciation.
