Provo, Utah – Multiple videos have emerged showing a fireworks display at the Stadium of Fire concert, with reports of stray shots reaching the audience. One person was hospitalized with serious injuries, while others suffered minor injuries.

Firefighters quickly responded to reports of injuries in the crowd. The incident occurred at LaVell Edwards Stadium, the football facility for Brigham Young University, during a fireworks display following the national anthem and a flyover by fighter jets.

Despite thorough safety checks before the show, stray sparks were seen firing into the crowd near the stage. Attendees waved their hands in the air to signal for help. The organizers of the Freedom Festival, which hosts the Stadium of Fire event, reassured that all fireworks were checked before the show and again after the incident.

After a brief pause, the concert resumed, and the Jonas Brothers took the stage without any further incidents. Provo Police Department spokesperson Janna-Lee Holland confirmed that the incident occurred just after the flyover.

The severity of the injuries is currently unknown. Videos captured not only fireworks shooting into the stands but also onto the field where attendees were situated.

The concert continued without additional mishaps, bringing relief to attendees following the frightening incident. Nevertheless, the safety protocols and procedures for future events will likely undergo further scrutiny to prevent similar occurrences.
