Formula 1 Fanatics Rejoice: Brad Pitt’s Racing Film Gets a Release Date!

London, England – Actor Brad Pitt’s upcoming Formula 1 racing film now has an official release date set by Apple Original Films. The untitled movie is scheduled to hit theaters on June 27, 2025.

Apple has joined forces with Warner Bros. Pictures for the theatrical debut of the Formula 1 movie, a move reflecting the tech giant’s increasing focus on releasing films in cinemas before making them available on its streaming platform, Apple TV+, and other home entertainment services. Previous collaborations between Apple and major studios include Sony, Paramount, and Universal for the releases of “Napoleon,” “Killers of the Flower Moon,” and “Argylle,” respectively.

Directed by Joseph Kosinski, known for his work on “Top Gun: Maverick,” the Formula 1 film will feature a star-studded cast including Kerry Condon, Javier Bardem, Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, Kim Bodnia, and Samson Kayo. The production team includes industry heavyweights like Jerry Bruckheimer, Chad Oman, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, and Lewis Hamilton.

Scheduled to be shown in Imax theaters, the movie’s intense racing sequences are expected to attract audiences seeking an immersive cinematic experience. The June 2025 release date places the film in direct competition with “M3GAN 2.0,” a sequel to the popular horror film “M3GAN,” followed by the highly anticipated “Jurassic World 4” starring Jonathan Bailey, Scarlett Johansson, and Mahershala Ali, among others.

Written by Ehren Kruger, who collaborated with Kosinski on “Top Gun: Maverick,” the Formula 1 movie promises to deliver high-octane action and compelling storytelling, appealing to both racing enthusiasts and film aficionados. Produced in partnership with Formula 1, the film represents a significant investment in bringing the thrill of motorsport to the big screen.
