Four found dead at home in murder-suicide

SHARPSBURG, GA – A quiet neighborhood in Sharpsburg, Georgia, was the scene of a horrifying murder-suicide early Saturday morning, according to the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office. Four individuals lost their lives in what residents describe as an otherwise peaceful area.

Deputies responded to multiple 911 calls around 1 a.m., reporting a concerning incident at a home on Crabapple Court in Sharpsburg. Once they arrived, authorities found two corpses in the driveway and another in the doorway. Tragically, one more gunshot was heard inside the house as the deputies arrived. A man who had run back into the house was later found dead by a SWAT team.

Community members expressed shock and disbelief at the violence that had erupted in their quiet neighborhood. Audrey Jackson, a resident, shared her unsettling experience of the incident unfolding just doors away from her home.

Brandi Wright, another neighborhood resident who lived close to the crime scene, recalled hearing a loud noise, like a gunshot, that she and her mother initially mistook for thunder due to the concurrent rainfall.

Law enforcement authorities are currently working on the case. One of the victims of the alleged murder-suicide has been identified at this stage of the investigation.
