Four girls stabbed at AMC movie theater

BRAINTREE, MA – A man has been apprehended in connection with a stabbing incident at an AMC movie theater in Braintree, south of Boston, on Saturday, which resulted in injuries to four girls, according to authorities. Reports indicate that the suspect might be tied to another similar occurrence at a McDonald’s in Plymouth.

At 6 p.m. local time, the man allegedly trespassed the AMC multiplex in Braintree without a ticket. He attacked the girls, aged between 9 and 17, in an unprecedented attack. The victims of the stabbing were rushed to the hospital for treatment. However, they suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to the police.

Post the attack, the suspect fled the scene in a black SUV. Using video footage to obtain his license plate number, police managed to locate the suspect in Plymouth, where he was reportedly involved in a similar assault. The authorities are claiming that these “crimes are related”.

The suspect led Massachusetts State Police on a chase before ultimately crashing his vehicle in the town of Sandwich, south of Plymouth, and was subsequently arrested.

Sources stated that the suspect is potentially linked to a murder investigation in Deep River, Connecticut. Earlier that day, Connecticut police had issued an alert for the individual, describing him as armed and dangerous, possibly with a 10-inch knife.

The suspect remains unnamed, and the specific charges against him are yet to be disclosed.
