CHICAGO, IL – Authorities are investigating a tragic shooting in the South Chicago neighborhood that left one person dead and three others injured early this morning. The incident unfolded on the porch of a home on Houston Avenue, between 82nd and 83rd Streets, just before 5 a.m.
The victims include three men and one woman, aged between 22 and 38. A 20-year-old man was shot in the neck and later pronounced dead at the University of Chicago Medical Center. A 23-year-old woman suffered a gunshot wound to her right arm and is reported to be in good condition.
Two other men, aged 38 and 25, were shot in the abdomen and remain in serious condition at the hospital. Police have not yet released their identities.
