Gas station clerk killed in armed robbery, teen suspect arrested

A 16-year-old suspect has been apprehended for the murder of a well-liked gas station clerk during an armed robbery in Hesperia. The incident occurred on Thursday, June 29, at a Mobil gas station on Main Street. The victim, 27-year-old Parveen Singh, was found with a gunshot wound. After he was taken to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries and passed away.

The teenager, whose identity has not been disclosed, was captured only a block away from the scene. The young suspect is now facing charges of murder and robbery as a result of their crimes against the gas station clerk.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department claims that the suspect entered the gas station and committed the robbery before fleeing on foot. Deputies arrived at the scene to find Singh gravely injured. Even though he was rushed to the hospital, he tragically lost his life. The 16-year-old suspect, hailing from Victorville, was apprehended shortly after the incident and is currently being held at the High Desert Juvenile Hall in Apple Valley.

Customers who frequented the gas station expressed their shock and grief over the tragic incident. Many described Singh as a friendly and caring individual who always made an effort to connect with them. A memorial has been set up outside the store, where people can leave flowers and messages for Singh’s family. The news of his untimely death has left the community deeply saddened.
