Georgia woman goes on an eclipse-inspired shooting spree

HOLMES COUNTY, FL – A woman from Georgia was apprehended by Florida law enforcement on Monday, following a series of shootings she purportedly claimed were commanded by a divine power during the solar eclipse. The Florida Highway Patrol took Taylon Nichelle Celestine, 22, into custody, charging her with attempted murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and unlawful discharge of a firearm.

Authorities were alerted to an active shooter situation in Holmes County. Subsequent investigations revealed that Celestine had vacated a local hotel earlier, informing the staff of her intent to embark on a shooting rampage, allegedly instructed by a divine entity, in connection with Monday’s solar eclipse.

Driving a purple Dodge Challenger with Georgia license plates, Celestine reportedly entered Interstate 10 at the 112-mile marker, heading west. Police reports indicate that she fired at another vehicle within five miles of entering the interstate, striking it multiple times.

The driver of the targeted vehicle was grazed by a bullet and injured by shattered glass, but managed to pull over to the side of the interstate. Celestine, continuing her westbound journey, allegedly fired at a second vehicle near the 107-mile marker, hitting the driver in the neck. The injured driver was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers apprehended Celestine approximately nine miles from the scene without any further incidents. A search of her vehicle yielded a 9mm handgun and an AR-15. Celestine was transported to the Holmes County Jail and charged with several crimes, including attempted murder.
