Spokane, Washington – The Gonzaga women’s basketball team clinched a spot in the NCAA Tournament’s Sweet 16 for the first time in nearly a decade. Led by standout player Kayleigh Truong and a sharp-shooting lineup, the Zags defeated Utah with a final score of 77-66 on Monday night, securing their place in the next round of the tournament.
Truong showcased her skills by scoring 21 points, while Yvonne Ejim contributed with 17 points and 13 rebounds during the game. The fourth-seeded Gonzaga team displayed an impressive performance, especially in the second and third quarters, where they dominated with a barrage of 3-pointers.
