Heartbreaking Jill Duggar Announces Stillborn Birth of First Daughter Loved From Start

Fayetteville, Arkansas – Former reality star Jill Duggar and her husband Derick Dillard shared heartbreaking news about their family. The couple, who already have three sons, revealed the stillbirth of their first daughter, Isla Marie Dillard. In a post on Instagram, they shared, “It is with heavy hearts that we announce the stillbirth of our beautiful baby girl, Isla Marie Dillard.”

Jill and Derick disclosed that Jill was four months pregnant, due in August, when they learned that their baby had passed away in utero. This news came as a shock as the couple had not publicly revealed their pregnancy prior to this announcement.

This tragic revelation comes after the couple has been open about their fertility struggles. In October 2021, before the birth of their youngest son, they shared the heartbreaking experience of a miscarriage shortly after telling their older boys about the pregnancy.

Despite the challenges they have faced, Jill and Derick remain strong and resilient. They now have three sons together: Israel, 9, Samuel, 6, and their rainbow baby, Fredrick, 1, who was welcomed in July 2022.

Jill Duggar, along with her family, gained fame through the reality show “19 Kids and Counting,” which followed her parents, Michelle and Bob Duggar, as well as their large family. The show aired for seven seasons before being canceled in 2015, although a spinoff, “Counting On,” premiered later that year.

The Duggar family’s public image has been marred by scandal, particularly involving Jill’s brother, Josh, who is currently serving time in prison for possession of child pornography. In their book “Counting the Cost,” released in September 2023, Jill and Derick delve into the struggles they faced as part of the famous family.

Through their transparency and resilience, Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard continue to navigate life’s challenges with grace and strength. Their story serves as a reminder of the importance of family, faith, and staying true to oneself in the face of adversity.
