These hidden abilities can only be accessed after Akuma performs a unique taunt involving him sitting on the ground and eating a rice ball for 30 seconds.
While most characters in the game have three super moves, Akuma boasts a total of seven, including the two secret ones that do not appear on the regular move list. Despite the secrecy surrounding these moves, dedicated fans on social media quickly unveiled both the hidden taunt and the corresponding supers, a discovery that has been independently verified by gaming publication IGN.
To trigger the secret taunt, players must execute Akuma’s back taunt by holding back and pressing all six buttons, followed by mashing down on those buttons. This initiates Akuma’s rice ball-eating taunt, allowing players to then perform the two hidden supers. One of these supers is executed by inputting two quarter circles back and pressing kick, while the other is activated by pressing down, down, and all three punch buttons.
In addition to these hidden moves, while in the taunt state, players can also unleash Akuma’s classic double air fireballs by executing a quarter circle back and pressing two punches while jumping forward in the air, all without using up any meter. Despite the entertainment value of these moves, fans were quick to point out that they may not be the most effective strategies for competitive play, as the 30-second taunt leaves Akuma vulnerable with his back turned to the opponent.
