Hostage Crisis: Man Accused of Fatal Shooting Barricaded in Trenton Home

Trenton, New Jersey – A gunman accused of fatally shooting three family members in Pennsylvania is currently barricaded inside a home in Trenton with hostages, according to officials. Andre Gordon, 26, is the suspected shooter who allegedly carried out the shootings at two locations in Levittown, Pennsylvania, before fleeing to New Jersey. SWAT team members from the Trenton Police Department are currently on the scene, as confirmed by authorities in Pennsylvania.

The tragic incident unfolded early in the day when officers responded to a shooting report at a residence on Viewpoint Lane in Levittown. Jennifer Schorn, the district attorney in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, revealed that Gordon, driving a stolen vehicle from Trenton, forced his way into the home and killed his 52-year-old stepmother and 13-year-old sister. Despite the chaos, three other individuals managed to evade Gordon’s violence as he searched the house.

After the initial incident, Gordon proceeded to another residence in Levittown where he shot and killed a 25-year-old woman with whom he shares children. Four other individuals were present in that home, with one sustaining injuries after Gordon attacked her with an assault rifle. The injured woman was hospitalized and is expected to recover from her physical wounds.

Law enforcement officials reported that Gordon then carjacked a man at gunpoint in a Dollar General store parking lot in Morrisville before fleeing the area in a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was later found abandoned in Trenton, leading to the discovery that Gordon had barricaded himself inside a home in the city with hostages.

In response to the alarming situation, residents were urged to stay indoors and away from windows as police in Falls Township issued a shelter-in-place order which was eventually lifted later in the day. State authorities and local law enforcement agencies were on high alert, with Governor Josh Shapiro directing state police to provide assistance in the ongoing investigation.

The concerning incident disrupted the community, leading to the cancellation of a St. Patrick’s Day parade and the postponement of activities in the Pennsbury School District. Despite the unsettling events, efforts are being made to ensure the safety and security of residents in the Philadelphia metropolitan area, where Levittown is located.

As the situation continues to unfold, updates will be provided to keep the public informed of any developments.
