Taipei, Taiwan – HTC, a Taiwanese tech company, has recently unveiled its latest mid-range Android smartphone, surprising many who had forgotten that the company is still in the smartphone market. The new device, known as the HTC U24 Pro, comes after the company teased its release earlier this month.
The HTC U24 Pro is currently available for pre-sale in Taiwan and is equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, running on Android 14. It boasts 12GB of RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of storage, with the option to expand using a microSD card. The smartphone features a 6.8-inch FHD+ OLED display, a 4,600 mAh battery with fast wired charging up to 60W, and wireless charging up to 15W.
In terms of camera capabilities, the HTC U24 Pro offers a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 50MP telephoto camera. The front-facing camera is also impressive at 50MP, embedded within the display. The smartphone also includes features like NFC, Bluetooth, IP67 water resistance, and a rare 3.5mm headphone jack.
Priced at $18,990 in Taiwan (approximately $585 USD), the HTC U24 Pro is set to launch on June 30 in the country. It will be available in two color options – “Twilight White” and “Space Blue.” However, it remains uncertain when the device will be released in other markets around the world.
