In an exclusive interview with Vogue, Munn revealed her decision to have her uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries removed as advised by her doctor to halt estrogen production, crucial for the growth of luminal B breast cancer.

The 43-year-old actress emphasized that the decision was made in order for her to be present for her family, especially her young son Malcolm, whom she shares with her partner John Mulaney. This marked Munn’s fifth surgery in her journey with cancer, having previously undergone a double mastectomy, lymph node dissection, reconstructive surgery, and nipple delay procedures.

Before opting for the hysterectomy, Munn had been taking medication to suppress estrogen, which left her bedridden due to its severe side effects.
