Charlotte, North Carolina – Actress Angie Harmon, known for her roles on “Law & Order” and “Rizzoli & Isles,” made a disturbing revelation on Monday regarding an incident involving her dog and an Instacart driver.
Harmon stated on Instagram that the driver fatally shot one of her dogs, named Oliver, during a delivery at her home. The incident occurred on the southern side of Charlotte over the weekend.
According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police, the driver claimed self-defense, alleging that the dog attacked him. The police confirmed that no arrests have been made and no charges have been recommended. They also mentioned that there was another dog present at the residence that did not attack.
Instacart has suspended the driver and is cooperating with authorities. The company expressed deep sadness and emphasized zero tolerance for any form of violence.
Harmon described the driver as nonchalant after the shooting, even stating, “Yeah, I shot your dog. Yeah I did.” She expressed devastation over the incident.
The actress mentioned that her family’s security camera was not recording at the time, which the driver allegedly noticed. Despite the lack of evidence, he was allowed to leave by claiming self-defense.
Harmon, who has previously praised the dog as a German shepherd, shared the heartbreaking experience with her followers on social media.
