Cannes, France – Hollywood star Jennifer Lawrence is set to produce a new murder mystery film titled “The Wives” that promises a mix of drama and intrigue. The project, acquired by Apple Original Films in a competitive deal, will be produced by Lawrence’s company, Excellent Cadaver, alongside Justine Ciarrocchi.
Known for her roles in films like “Don’t Look Up” and “The Hunger Games,” Lawrence will delve into the world of murder mystery with “The Wives,” a project shrouded in mystery as it is currently under development. The film will be written by Michael Breslin and Patrick Foley, the talented minds behind the play “Circle Jerk,” a Pulitzer Prize finalist.

In addition to “The Wives,” Apple and A24 are teaming up for other projects, including Spike Lee’s upcoming remake of Akira Kurosawa’s film “High and Low” starring Denzel Washington.
