Mumbai, India – Director Nag Ashwin’s latest science fiction masterpiece, Kalki 2898 AD, has taken the box office by storm, captivating audiences with its star-studded cast and gripping storyline.
Lead by A-list actors Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan, the film made a spectacular debut, drawing in crowds and generating significant buzz within the industry.
While experiencing a slight decline in ticket sales on its fifth day, Kalki 2898 AD still managed to maintain its momentum, impressively pulling in substantial earnings across different language versions.
In the Hindi version alone, the film garnered a commendable Rs 16.5 crore, demonstrating a strong appeal among viewers. Similarly, the Telugu adaptation saw notable success, collecting Rs 14.5 crore in its initial days.
Not to be overshadowed, the Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam versions of the film also made their mark, earning respectable amounts of Rs 2 crore, Rs 0.3 crore, and Rs 1.3 crore, respectively, contributing to the overall five-day total of Rs 343.6 crore.
With the Telugu version leading the pack with Rs 182 crore, followed by Hindi with Rs 128 crore, Tamil with Rs 20.3 crore, and Kannada and Malayalam versions with Rs 2.1 crore and Rs 11.2 crore, the film’s success across various regions is evident.
Although the film was produced with a substantial budget of Rs 600 crore, its remarkable performance at the box office proves to be a testament to its captivating storyline and stellar cast.
