Cleveland, Ohio – The Cleveland Browns bolstered their defensive lineup by selecting linebacker Nathaniel Watson with the 206th pick in the sixth round of the NFL Draft.
Watson, a standout from Mississippi State University, showcased impressive statistics during his six seasons with the college team. With 377 tackles, 35 tackles for loss, and 21 sacks to his name, Watson proved to be a force to be reckoned with on the field. Additionally, he demonstrated versatility with two interceptions, five passes defended, two fumble recoveries, and three forced fumbles.

The following year, Watson was a finalist for the prestigious Butkus Award, celebrating the top linebacker in the nation. He also earned accolades such as third-team Associated Press All-American and first-team All-SEC, finishing the 2023 season as the SEC leader in tackles with 137.
