Lollipop Chainsaw RePop Remake Finally Arriving on Sept. 25 – Get Ready for Enhanced Graphics and Exciting Gameplay Updates!

Los Angeles, California – Fans of the 2012 hack-and-slash game, Lollipop Chainsaw, can finally rejoice as the long-awaited remake, Lollipop Chainsaw RePop, is set to release on September 25 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Developed by Dragami Games, the remake follows the story of Juliet Starling, a high school cheerleader and descendant of a family of zombie hunters, as she battles the zombie apocalypse alongside the disembodied head of her boyfriend using her trusty chainsaw.

While the original director and writer duo, Goichi “Suda51” Suda and James Gunn, will not be returning for RePop, Dragami Games CEO Yoshimi Yasuda promises fans that the remake will live up to their expectations. Yasuda stated that RePop is a definitive version of the game with quality-of-life improvements and additional gameplay content, while keeping the original story intact.

One of the key updates in RePop from the original game includes shortened load times, enhanced resolution, and frame rates. The PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC versions will support 4K resolution and 60 fps, while the Switch version will offer full HD resolution and 30 fps. Other quality-of-life enhancements consist of an auto-quick time event feature, improved camera responses, and a streamer mode for music.

Originally announced in 2022, Lollipop Chainsaw RePop was delayed from its initial summer 2023 release to summer 2024. In a recent tweet, Yasuda revealed that players will have access to over 30 outfits to dress Juliet in RePop, with all the original game’s costumes available except for copyrighted ensembles like the Deadman Wonderland and Highschool of the Dead anime costumes.

Despite receiving a mediocre review of 5 out of 10 in the original game, Lollipop Chainsaw has achieved cult classic status among gamers who enjoy the hack-and-slash genre. It is hoped that RePop will strike a chord with players just as the original game did, resonating with fans and new players alike.
