Man and Woman Found Shot Dead in Houston Home

Police believe another person killed the two victims before fleeing the southeast Houston residence early Sunday.

HOUSTON, TX — A man and woman were found shot to death inside a southeast Houston home early Sunday, and police are searching for an unidentified suspect believed to have fled before officers arrived.

Houston Police Department officers responded at about 2:20 a.m. to a reported shooting in the 12800 block of Glen Hollow Drive. Officers forced their way into the residence and found the two victims inside, according to police and local news reports.

Investigators believe the victims were in their 20s or 30s. Their identities had not been released Sunday, pending confirmation and notification of their families. Police said the man and woman appeared to live at the home, although their relationship was not immediately known.

Investigators do not believe the two victims shot each other. No firearm was recovered inside the residence, leading detectives to believe at least one other person was involved in the shooting, Houston police Lt. Pulido said.

No suspect description had been released, and police had not announced a possible motive. Detectives questioned people with connections to the case as they worked to determine who was inside the home before the shooting and what led to the deaths.

Several surveillance cameras were visible near the residence. Detectives were expected to review available recordings as they searched for evidence and tried to establish a timeline of activity around the home.

Crime Scene Unit investigators remained at the property Sunday morning to collect evidence. Authorities had not disclosed who reported the shooting or whether anyone nearby heard gunfire or saw a person leaving the area.

Police said the shooting appeared to be an isolated incident and that investigators did not believe there was an ongoing threat to the surrounding community. The suspect remained at large, however, and no arrest had been announced.

The investigation remained active Sunday. Houston police asked anyone with information about the shooting to contact the department or Crime Stoppers of Houston.
