Man barricades himself after shooting spree that killed three

FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA – A shelter-in-place order issued in Falls Township, Pennsylvania, has been lifted following a shooting spree that left at least three people dead. The suspect, identified as 26-year-old Andre Gordon, is currently holed up in a residence in Trenton, New Jersey, according to law enforcement officials. Armed with an AR-15-style assault rifle, Gordon is considered extremely dangerous.

Gordon is believed to have shot and killed his 52-year-old stepmother and 13-year-old sister in a Falls Township home on Saturday morning. Three other occupants of the home, including a minor, managed to escape unharmed. The suspect is also accused of killing 25-year-old Taylor Daniel, the mother of his two children, at another residence in the area. Four other people in that home survived the attack.

Bucks County District Attorney Jennifer Schorn confirmed that Daniel’s mother was injured in the incident but is expected to survive. Falls Township Police Department Chief of Police Nelson Whitney revealed that the department had minor contact with Gordon prior to the shooting but had no indication of his potential for such violence.

The shooting rampage began around 8:52 a.m. on Saturday with a report of a shooting at a residence on Viewpoint Lane, Levittown. According to Christopher Clark, an operations lieutenant with the Falls Township Police Department, Gordon is believed to have shot and killed two residents at that location. He then allegedly proceeded to Edgewood Lane, where he shot and killed another individual before fleeing the scene.

Gordon is accused of carjacking a vehicle at gunpoint from the parking lot of a Dollar General store in Bristol Pike, Morrisville, around 9:01 a.m. The carjacking victim was not injured. The stolen vehicle, a 2016 dark gray Honda CRV with a Pennsylvania license plate, was later found abandoned in Trenton, New Jersey.

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro has been briefed on the situation and has directed the Pennsylvania State Police to assist local law enforcement. Authorities are urging residents in the area to heed law enforcement’s directions and to report any suspicious activity.
