Man brutally stabs 83-year-old neighbor to death on their porch

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Police in Philadelphia are investigating the deadly stabbing of an 83-year-old woman, Dolores Robinson, purportedly at the hands of her neighbor. Authorities responded to reports of an individual with a weapon in the vicinity of North 27th Street around 8 p.m. on Wednesday.

Investigations led to 47-year-old Isiaih Rahatt, a next-door neighbor to Robinson. Since the incident took place, Rahatt has been arrested and charged with her murder. Reporting on the state of Robinson, Staff Inspector Ernest Ransom detailed the grim extent of her injuries, which included a neck stab wound, lacerations to the face, and BB gun pellets lodged in her head and hand.

Rahatt reportedly has a significant criminal history, with at least 15 prior charges, among them several cases of aggravated assault. Local residents confirmed seeing police called to his residence on numerous occasions.

The incident, a brutal and unprovoked attack on an older woman, has sent shockwaves through the neighborhood. Robinson, a treasured member of the community, was apparently attacked first on her porch and then pursued to her home by Rahatt, resulting in a deadly struggle.
