Man called “King Arthur” allegedly decapitated his father-in-law

BANJAR CITY, INDONESIA – A man known as “King Arthur” online, Arthur Leigh Welohr, is currently under arrest in Indonesia for the alleged murder of his father-in-law. Welohr has a history of violence, with a previous conviction for a sword attack in San Francisco in 2015.

The 2015 incident involved two victims, both in their 50s, who were attacked near the Interstate Highway 280 overpass on Elmira Street. Welohr is accused of drawing a sword and assaulting the pair, resulting in injuries to both. The male victim suffered injuries to his head, hand, and shoulder, while the female victim had cuts on her hands. Welohr was apprehended at the scene by responding officers, and the victims were transported to San Francisco General Hospital for treatment of their non-life-threatening injuries.

Known as KingeArthur on Twitter and Arthur King Mann on Facebook, Welohr had previously advertised a “Venetian war hammer” for sale on the website 5miles, describing it as “battle-ready.”

The recent arrest in Indonesia is for the alleged murder of his father-in-law, Agus Sopiyan, who was reportedly beheaded. Indonesian law mandates the disclosure of previous criminal convictions approved by a court for legal entry into the country. According to Indonesian authorities, Welohr had provided this disclosure.
