WOODSTOCK, GA – Levi Wilson, a 27-year-old Woodstock resident, tragically lost his life during Tuesday’s storms after a tree fell onto his car on Vaughn Road in Canton. The incident occurred while Wilson was returning to his parents’ home.
Recalling the heartbreaking incident, Mike Wilson, Levi’s father, said he wanted a Chick-fil-A sandwich, and Levi insisted on getting it for him despite the weather conditions. Levi chose his car over his father’s truck for the errand, believing it would be safe.
Levi belonged to a family with four brothers and was part of a set of triplets. The brothers had recently celebrated their 27th birthday. “He was the best kid God could ever give a man,” said Mike, adding that all his sons have been good boys who’ve never caused him trouble.
A GoFundMe page has been initiated to help the family cover the funeral expenses, set to take place on Friday. The page captures the essence of Levi’s character, describing him as “a soft-hearted individual,” whose wit and humor was cherished by his loved ones.
While lamenting the tragic loss of his son, Mike expressed faith in a higher purpose behind this tragedy and prayed for some good to come out of it.
