Man wanted for triple murder in violent crime spree

MORRILTON, AR – A 50-year-old Alabama man, identified as Stacy Lee Drake, is currently on a spree of violent crime. He fled to Arkansas after allegedly killing three individuals in Oklahoma, according to information obtained from state police.

Drake, whose last known residence was in Birmingham, Alabama, was last sighted on foot in the city of Morrilton, located off Interstate 40 between Russellville and Conway. Reportedly, Drake ditched a truck in the city of Sallisaw, which was later discovered on E. Redwood Ave., stated Larry Lane, Sequoyah County sheriff.

According to law enforcement accounts, Drake had murdered a man and a woman on Highway 64 near Gans on Tuesday night. Their bodies were located inside a local commercial establishment. Moreover, Arkansas State Police, in a press release, revealed that Drake’s crimes in Oklahoma involved two distinct carjackings which resulted in the death of three victims. One of those vehicles was recovered at a motel in Morrilton.

On Tuesday, residents of the area awoke to a mass-emergency alert on their phones from the local police force, warning them to remain on high alert for any sighting of Drake and to immediately reach out to law enforcement.

The missing suspect is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 185 pounds. Authorities confirmed that he is a brown-eyed, brown-haired man who reportedly has connections to the homeless community in Fort Smith. He was also suspected of a home invasion in 2010, according to Fort Smith’s Police Chief, Danny Baker.

Police have urged residents not to engage with Drake if spotted, rather, they should immediately call 911. Local deputies and detectives are conducting exhaustive surveys of the Maple, Akins, Hanson, and Central communities in an effort to gather leads to bring the lethal manhunt to an end.
