Mass shooting hits San Francisco

A violent shooting erupted in San Francisco’s Mission District neighborhood on a Friday night, leaving nine people injured. All of the victims of the shooting are expected to recover fully.

The San Francisco Police Department reports that the gunfire erupted near the intersection of 24th Street and Treat Avenue around 9 p.m. At the time, the gravity of the victims’ injuries was not immediately clear.

As the night went on, first responders confirmed that at least nine victims had been shot. The incident was a targeted attack.

Because the shooting was targeted, authorities emphasized that was no further risk to the general populace.

Despite the clarification, the police have yet to provide additional updates about the incident. This includes information about the potential shooter.
