Mass shooting leaves more than 30 injured

A block party in Baltimore’s Brooklyn neighborhood turned into a tragic scene early Sunday morning when a mass shooting occurred, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and leaving many others injured. The incident took place around 12:30 a.m., with at least 30 people being shot. Law enforcement swiftly responded to the reports of gunshots, and the situation is currently under investigation.

Upon arrival, police officers discovered multiple victims with gunshot wounds. Sadly, an 18-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while a 20-year-old succumbed to their injuries at a local hospital. Three others are currently in critical condition. The University of Maryland Medical System reported that 12 victims were taken to the Shock Trauma Center, with four individuals receiving treatment at the pediatric emergency department.

Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott, who was present at the scene, expressed determination in bringing the perpetrators to justice. He vowed to relentlessly pursue those responsible for the senseless act of violence, emphasizing the need for accountability. Mayor Scott extended his condolences to the affected community and reiterated the city’s commitment to ensuring their safety.

As of now, no suspects have been apprehended. However, investigators are diligently reviewing video surveillance footage in an effort to identify the individuals involved.
