Houston, Texas – A tragic incident occurred at a McDonald’s in Houston when a lawyer was shot and killed by an angry customer over a dispute regarding his order, police confirmed.
The victim, identified as 46-year-old attorney Jeffrey Limmer by his family, attempted to intervene and calm the customer who was dissatisfied with his order at the McDonald’s along the West Interstate Highway 10 service road on a Saturday evening.
However, instead of resolving the issue, the customer turned his aggression towards Limmer, resulting in a heated argument between the two individuals. The confrontation escalated when they moved to the parking lot, where Limmer pushed the man to the ground before the customer retrieved a firearm from his vehicle and fatally shot Limmer before fleeing the scene in a blue Ford pickup truck.
Limmer, who was well-known for his peaceful and helpful nature, unfortunately succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The police confirmed that no arrests have been made in connection to the incident.
Described as a good-hearted individual who always sought to help others, Limmer’s sister, Jennifer Thomas, expressed her shock and sadness over the tragic loss of her brother. She highlighted his nature of always advocating for justice and standing up for what he believed was right.
Limmer, a local resident who frequently visited the McDonald’s where the unfortunate incident took place, was a graduate of the University of Texas and South Texas College of Law before working as an associate at a Houston-based law firm, Lewis Brisbois.
As the family and community mourn the loss of Limmer, they are hopeful for the authorities to apprehend the shooter and bring justice for the senseless act of violence that took a beloved member of their community. Thomas emphasized her brother’s legacy of kindness and dedication to helping others, even in the face of danger.
