Michelin Guide Adds Six New Tampa Restaurants: Will They Earn Coveted Stars in 2024?

Tampa, Florida – Six new restaurants in Tampa have been included in Florida’s Michelin Guide, just in time for the guide’s 2024 star reveal. The addition of Streetlight Taco, Supernatural Food & Wine, Predalina, The Pearl, Kosen and Ebbe brings the total number of new restaurants added in Tampa, Orlando, and Miami to 19. These new additions have the potential to receive coveted star ratings or Bib Gourmand selections, according to a news release.

The Michelin Guide, renowned for its international acclaim, is considered one of the most prestigious restaurant rating systems in the world. It is known to bestow stars upon restaurants that demonstrate exceptional quality, as well as Bib Gourmand status to those that offer outstanding value for money.

This recognition comes as the guide continues to expand its presence in Florida, following a partnership between the Michelin Guide and the state’s tourism marketing agency, Visit Florida, and tourism marketing boards in Tampa, Orlando, and Miami. Since the launch of the guide in Florida, local chefs have been hopeful that stars and additional accolades would help bring more widespread recognition to the Tampa Bay area.

Currently, three Tampa restaurants have received a one-star rating — Rocca, Lilac, and Koya — while several others have been awarded Bib Gourmand status. The 2024 Florida guide’s stars and Bib Gourmand selections will be announced at a ceremony in Tampa on April 18.
