Nashville, Tennessee – Authorities in Tennessee are on the lookout for a missing 22-year-old college student who disappeared after leaving a bar in downtown Nashville 10 days ago. Riley Strain, a student at the University of Missouri, was in Nashville for a weekend trip when he was asked to leave Luke’s 32 Bridge, a bar owned by country singer Luke Bryan.
Strain’s friends and family have been unable to reach him since March 8, and police efforts to locate him have been unsuccessful. The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department is urging anyone with information about Strain’s whereabouts to come forward.
According to authorities, Strain was last seen leaving Luke’s 32 Bridge alone on March 8 after purchasing one alcoholic drink and two waters. Security footage shows him being escorted out of the bar after a security team determined he had been overserved. Despite a brief encounter with a police officer later that night, Strain has not been seen since.
In a statement released by the University of Missouri, Strain was described as 6 foot 5 inches tall with a thin build, blue eyes, and light brown hair. The university officials are working closely with his family and Nashville authorities as the search continues.
Police have conducted extensive searches in the area where Strain was last seen, including a riverbank near the bar. Surveillance footage released by the department shows Strain crossing a street at 9:47 p.m. the same night he disappeared.
Family members, including Strain’s stepfather and mother, are devastated by his disappearance. As days pass with no sign of Strain, the search has expanded to the riverbank where his bank card was found. The Tennessee Alcohol and Beverage Commission is also investigating the incident, noting the regulations around serving alcohol to intoxicated individuals.
Several organizations, including TC Restaurant and Luke’s 32 Bridge, are cooperating with police to provide security camera footage and any other useful information to aid in the search. The community has come together to pray for Strain’s safe return and to support his family during this challenging time.
