PHILADELPHIA, PA – A quiet residential neighborhood in Crescentville, Philadelphia, was rattled on Tuesday afternoon when a mother and her daughter were found murdered in their home. Two victims, Angela Trejo, 75, and her daughter, Alma Barberena, 58, passed away as a result of multiple stab wounds.
The incident reportedly unfolded in the basement of their residence, transforming the peaceful ambiance of their long-standing home. While no arrests have been made, the police are presently interrogating a man believed to be related to the victims as part of their investigation.
Neighbors spoke of the family’s regular local presence, noting that the daughters were habitual in checking up on their parents. Echoing their sentiments was long-tenured neighbor Jack Burkhardt, who expressed his shock concerning the day’s horrific events. The mother’s husband was at home during the murder, according to acquaintances of the family.
